How to Read a Recipe
The recipes in this cookbook have been set up in a unique, step-by-step format. So, it is important to read through the entire recipe first, to make sure you have all the ingredients and understand the preparation sequence. Here's an example:
Italian Sausage with |
Coat bottom of a large, deep skillet with olive oil. Brown the sausage over medium-high heat.
While continuing to cook over medium-high heat, mix into the sausage the above ingredients and cook for 8 minutes.
Stir in the marinara sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with parsley and parmesan cheese.

The ingredients needed next are then listed, again followed by instructions for those items, possibly including the previously prepared portion. And so on until you have prepared the entire delicious recipe and are ready to serve.
